The employer must be a Qatari or expatriate sponsor with sufficient income to support both family members and domestic workers. |
The domestic worker is included under the family sponsorship. An application can be processed by the employer through the MOI. |

Transferable Work Visa for Domestic Workers |
Some domestic workers on existing visas may apply to transfer their work sponsorship (kafala) to a new employer. This option allows domestic workers to change employers within Qatar. |
The worker must already be in Qatar with an active employment contract and must fulfill the conditions required for transferring sponsorship. |
The employer must submit a transfer request via MOI. The worker’s new employer must meet the conditions for transferring sponsorship. |

Visitor Visa (Short-term) |
Some workers may enter Qatar on a visitor visa and can later convert it to a domestic worker visa upon finding employment. |
Workers can enter Qatar as tourists and convert their status upon receiving an official job offer. |
