Job Description:

The Carton Packing Technician in Vancouver is responsible for assembling, packing, labeling, and preparing cartons of finished goods for shipment or storage. Working in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments such as food processing, consumer goods, or pharmaceuticals, the technician ensures that products are securely packed, properly labeled, and meet quality and quantity standards before dispatch.

Key responsibilities include setting up packaging stations, manually or semi-automatically packing products into cartons, inspecting items for defects or irregularities, and verifying packaging documentation. The technician is also responsible for sealing and stacking cartons, labeling with batch codes or shipping details, and communicating with supervisors to report discrepancies or material shortages.

This role supports smooth order fulfillment and helps maintain product integrity during transportation. Carton Packing Technicians are integral to meeting production deadlines and upholding brand quality for companies operating in Vancouver's vibrant manufacturing sector.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 1–2 years in packaging, warehousing, or production line roles is desirable.

Skills:

Familiarity with packing procedures and carton handling.

Attention to detail for product inspection and labeling.

Basic manual dexterity and speed for repetitive tasks.

Ability to read packing slips, batch numbers, and safety labels.

Teamwork and time management abilities.

Language: Basic English communication required.

Other Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and lift cartons (up to 25 kg).

Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards in British Columbia.

Willingness to work rotating shifts or weekends based on production demand.

Reliability and a strong work ethic to meet daily packing targets.
