Job Description:
The Busser in Al Ahmadi supports restaurant and dining services within the hospitality and tourism industry by ensuring tables are promptly cleared, reset, and prepared for incoming guests. Bussers are essential in creating a clean and welcoming dining environment and enabling smooth workflow for servers and kitchen staff.
Typical duties include clearing dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables; wiping down surfaces; replacing linens; restocking supplies such as napkins and condiments; and assisting with room and table setups for special events. Bussers often collaborate with waitstaff to maintain service efficiency and ensure guests experience minimal wait times.
This role requires a good understanding of restaurant flow and coordination with servers to anticipate guest needs. Bussers must work quickly and quietly, particularly during busy meal periods, and may be asked to support servers by delivering water, bread, or additional utensils.
While direct guest interaction is limited, bussers must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor. They contribute to the overall impression of the dining experience, supporting cleanliness, service speed, and ambiance.
Bussers may also assist with minor cleaning tasks in dining rooms and ensure that all guest areas are neat and organized, ready for the next party.
Job Requirement:
Prior experience in a restaurant, café, or banquet facility is preferred.
Physical stamina and speed to move efficiently through the dining area.
Ability to lift trays and carry bus tubs with dirty dishes.
Good coordination and time management skills.
Understanding of basic restaurant service procedures and hygiene standards.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
