Job Description:

We are looking to hire an Institutional Kitchen Chef for our healthcare facility in Valencia. This role is essential in preparing and supervising the delivery of healthy, well-balanced meals in line with dietary guidelines provided by hospital dietitians. You will oversee the kitchen staff, develop weekly menus, and ensure all meals are prepared with high standards of hygiene and taste.

Responsibilities include managing food inventory, ensuring meals align with medical diets, and maintaining strict food safety protocols. You will collaborate with nutritionists to accommodate patient needs such as low-sodium, diabetic, gluten-free, or soft-food diets. Supervising meal prep and presentation will be a core part of your daily routine.

You will play a vital role in nourishing patients and contributing to their recovery process. The work environment is structured yet dynamic, offering opportunities to innovate within the scope of health-based culinary practices.

Job Requirement:

Candidates must have a culinary arts diploma or professional chef certification. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a large-scale institutional kitchen, preferably healthcare-related, is essential. You should be well-versed in managing food services, dietary modifications, and kitchen safety regulations.

You must have a strong understanding of HACCP procedures and allergen awareness. Leadership skills are required to supervise a team, assign tasks, and coordinate food service operations. You should be skilled in menu planning and inventory control.

Physical stamina is necessary to endure long hours in the kitchen. You must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain high sanitation standards. Fluency in Spanish is essential, and experience with food service software is a plus.

Applicants must pass health screening, background checks, and obtain food handling certification. Shift flexibility and availability during weekends or holidays is expected.
