Job Description:
The Animation Previsualization Lead in Dubai is responsible for guiding the early-stage visual development of animated sequences, combining technical know-how with creative vision. This role plays a pivotal part in planning complex scenes, determining camera angles, timing, motion paths, and spatial arrangements before full production begins. Working closely with directors, storyboard artists, and animators, the lead develops animatics and previsualization (previs) content using 3D modeling and animation software. Their work supports the storytelling, scene composition, and technical direction of animated films, video games, and commercials. Responsibilities include managing a team of previs artists, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring that the previs meets both creative and technical expectations. The role demands a deep understanding of cinematography, visual storytelling, and real-time rendering tools. The Previsualization Lead also liaises with production and VFX teams to ensure seamless handoff into subsequent pipeline phases.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Film Production, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in animation or VFX previs. Strong proficiency in software such as Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, and Storyboard Pro. Deep understanding of animation principles, camera language, and scene blocking. Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to mentor junior artists and coordinate with multiple departments.
