Working in collaboration with collectors, museums, galleries, and restoration companies, the technician handles detailed repairs involving upholstery, structural reinforcement, marquetry, carving, and surface finishing. This role requires a deep understanding of historical furniture styles, wood aging characteristics, and period-authentic restoration practices. Key duties include identifying damage, conducting joinery repairs, replacing missing elements, stabilizing fragile structures, and using chemical-free methods for cleaning or pest removal. Job Requirement:
