Job Description:
The Art Print Production Specialist in Ajman is responsible for managing the technical and artistic aspects of reproducing fine art prints across various mediums such as canvas, archival paper, and metal. This role involves preparing digital files for high-resolution printing, calibrating color profiles to match original artworks, and operating professional-grade printers and finishing equipment. The specialist collaborates with artists, galleries, and curators to ensure the final output meets museum-grade standards for color fidelity, texture, and longevity. Responsibilities also include evaluating proofs, performing test runs, and making adjustments based on lighting conditions and substrate materials. Tasks such as trimming, mounting, varnishing, and quality control inspections are part of the daily workflow. The specialist is expected to maintain printing equipment, manage ink and paper stock, and ensure a dust-free, climate-controlled workspace to protect delicate prints. A deep understanding of digital imaging, color science, and archival standards is crucial for this role. Strong coordination with framing services and packaging teams is essential for safe transport and display. The role also demands innovation in applying new print technologies and processes to enhance the value and presentation of limited-edition art reproductions.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Digital Imaging, or Print Production. Minimum 3 years of experience in fine art or archival print production. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and RIP software (such as ONYX or EFI Fiery). Deep knowledge of color calibration, ICC profiling, and professional inkjet printing systems. Strong eye for detail, familiarity with different art papers and coatings, and a commitment to conservation-grade quality.
