Job Description: We are currently hiring a Drilling Engineer to join our team in Seeb, Oman. As a Drilling Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing drilling operations to extract oil and gas resources efficiently and safely. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including geologists, drilling contractors, and equipment suppliers, to ensure the successful execution of drilling projects. Responsibilities: Develop drilling plans and procedures in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. Conduct engineering analyses and simulations to optimize drilling operations and minimize risks. Coordinate with geologists and reservoir engineers to identify drilling locations and determine well trajectories. Select appropriate drilling techniques, equipment, and materials based on project specifications and geological data. Monitor drilling progress, evaluate performance, and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during all drilling activities. Troubleshoot drilling issues and provide technical support to resolve operational challenges. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records related to drilling activities. Collaborate with drilling contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in drilling engineering.
Job Requirement: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Drilling Engineer in the energy and utilities industry. Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and processes. Familiarity with drilling software and tools. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required. Valid professional certifications and licenses as applicable. Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
