Application Process

1. Employment Visa

The most common visa for foreign nationals employed in Oman, including those working for NGOs and nonprofits.

The employer must sponsor the applicant. Requires a valid job offer from an Omani NGO or nonprofit.

The employer applies on behalf of the employee to the Ministry of Manpower. Documentation includes job offer, medical certificate, and passport.

2. Work Residency Visa

A long-term visa that allows foreign employees to live and work in Oman for an extended period.

Applicants must have a job offer from an NGO or nonprofit. The employer must be an authorized entity in Oman.

The NGO or nonprofit applies for a work residency permit. The application includes an employment contract, medical report, and passport.

3. Oman Investor Visa

Designed for individuals investing in businesses, including social enterprises and nonprofits.

Applicants must invest in an Omani-based nonprofit or social enterprise.

Requires documentation of investment, business plan, and proof of financial capability.

4. Dependent Visa

For family members of foreign employees working in Oman, including spouses and children.

The foreign employee must be on an employment or residency visa in Oman.

The foreign employee sponsors the dependent visa by providing proof of employment and income.

5. Freelance Visa
