Job Description:

Job Description: Bioprocess Engineer Analyst – Science & Pharmaceuticals Job Industry, Brisbane

The Bioprocess Engineer Analyst in Brisbane is responsible for analysing and optimising the biological manufacturing processes involved in the production of biopharmaceuticals and other life science products. This role supports upstream and downstream processing by collecting, evaluating, and interpreting process data to ensure efficiency, scalability, and regulatory compliance within production environments.

Core responsibilities include monitoring bioreactor performance, fermentation efficiency, and purification stages, and identifying areas where process improvements can be made. The analyst plays a critical role in ensuring product consistency, yield enhancement, and adherence to quality standards. This involves working closely with process development teams to assess experimental data, support scale-up activities, and troubleshoot operational issues.

The position also involves data modelling, report preparation, and technical documentation of ongoing processes. The analyst contributes to technology transfer initiatives by providing insights on optimal process parameters and participating in knowledge sharing between development and production units. Routine tasks include sampling, data trending, variance analysis, and compiling batch reports for quality and compliance assessments.

Working within Brisbane’s emerging biopharmaceutical sector, this role ensures that biological production operations are efficient and scientifically validated. It supports ongoing innovation by helping teams optimise resource usage and maintain critical control points in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.

Candidates will thrive in this analytical role if they possess strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support sustainable bioprocess operations.

Job Requirement:

Job Requirements: Bioprocess Engineer Analyst – Science & Pharmaceuticals Job Industry, Brisbane

Applicants must have strong technical understanding of bioprocessing techniques, including upstream (fermentation, cell culture) and downstream (filtration, chromatography) operations. Familiarity with bioreactor systems, cleanroom environments, and process control instrumentation is critical to monitor and enhance performance.

Candidates should possess the ability to analyse large volumes of process data and draw meaningful conclusions to support ongoing improvements. Proficiency in software tools for statistical analysis, process modelling, and reporting is essential for effective data interpretation and communication with cross-functional teams.

Clear understanding of GMP regulations and biopharmaceutical production standards is required to ensure that all analysis activities support product quality and compliance. The ability to assess deviations, assist in investigations, and suggest corrective actions is key for maintaining reliable production outcomes.

Strong organisational skills are needed to manage multiple ongoing tasks, coordinate data collection efforts, and contribute to long-term process development strategies. The ability to work in collaboration with scientists, quality teams, and engineers is important for ensuring consistency and process robustness.

Candidates should demonstrate adaptability, curiosity, and a focus on continuous improvement in the face of evolving manufacturing demands. The analyst must be proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and proposing data-driven solutions that support cost-effective and high-yield production. Attention to safety, documentation standards, and compliance requirements is critical for long-term success in this role.
