Job Description: Summary: We are seeking a skilled Japanese to English Translator to join our dynamic team in Brussels, Belgium. As a translator, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently translating a wide range of content from Japanese to English. This role is specifically focused on the content and translation industry, so previous experience in this field is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Translate various types of content, including documents, articles, marketing materials, and website content, from Japanese to English. Ensure accurate translation, paying attention to grammar, punctuation, and cultural nuances. Conduct research to enhance the quality and accuracy of translations, particularly in specialized fields. Collaborate with the content team to meet project deadlines and ensure consistency in style and tone. Proofread and edit translations to ensure they are error-free and meet high-quality standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and terminology to provide accurate translations. Handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities effectively. Communicate with clients or project managers to clarify requirements and address any translation-related inquiries.
Job Requirement: Requirements: Native-level proficiency in Japanese and excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Proven experience in Japanese to English translation, preferably in the content and translation industry. Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and stylistic conventions in both languages. Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and translation software. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong research skills to ensure accurate translation in specialized fields. Cultural sensitivity and understanding of both Japanese and English-speaking audiences. Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is a plus.
