Job Description: Summary: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Welders and Solderers to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. As a Welder and Solderer in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry, you will play a crucial role in fabricating, repairing, and assembling metal components for ships and ship machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the construction and maintenance of vessels in the dynamic maritime industry. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding/soldering specifications. Perform various welding and soldering techniques, including MIG, TIG, arc, and spot welding, to join metal parts and components. Prepare metal surfaces for welding or soldering by cleaning, grinding, and applying proper pre-welding/soldering treatments. Select appropriate welding/soldering equipment and materials based on the type of metal and project requirements. Set up and operate welding/soldering equipment, ensuring proper settings and safety measures. Inspect and test welded/soldered joints for accuracy, strength, and quality, and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Perform welding/soldering operations in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Collaborate with other craftsmen, engineers, and technicians to ensure project requirements are met. Follow project schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain welding/soldering equipment and tools, and report any maintenance or repair needs. Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job Requirement: Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or vocational training in welding or soldering are advantageous. Proven experience as a Welder or Solderer in the shipbuilding or related industry. Strong knowledge of welding and soldering techniques, equipment, and materials. Familiarity with shipbuilding processes, materials, and standards is preferred. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding/soldering specifications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle and manipulate metal components and equipment. Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in welding and soldering operations. Fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
