Job Description: We are currently seeking a talented and creative Architect to join our architectural firm based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various building projects, collaborating with clients, engineers, and construction teams to deliver innovative and functional architectural solutions. Responsibilities: Design Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements, translating them into creative and aesthetically pleasing architectural designs. Conceptualization: Develop architectural concepts, sketches, and 3D visualizations to communicate design ideas and solutions effectively. Building Codes and Regulations: Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements throughout the design process, obtaining necessary permits and approvals. Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Material and Finishes Selection: Specify appropriate building materials, finishes, and fixtures that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements. Construction Oversight: Collaborate with construction teams and contractors to ensure accurate implementation of design intent, addressing any design-related issues that arise during construction. Budget Management: Work closely with project managers and clients to develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective design solutions. Project Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and other professionals involved in the project to ensure seamless integration of all project elements. Client Communication: Regularly communicate and present design proposals, progress updates, and final deliverables to clients, addressing their feedback and incorporating changes as needed. Sustainability and Green Design: Promote sustainable design principles and integrate environmentally friendly features into architectural designs, aiming for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Job Requirement: Requirements: Education and Experience: A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture is required. Previous experience in architectural design, preferably in the construction industry, is highly desirable. Design Skills: Strong design capabilities and a keen eye for aesthetics, with the ability to create innovative and functional architectural solutions. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools, to develop detailed and accurate architectural drawings. Building Knowledge: Thorough understanding of building systems, construction techniques, and materials, with a focus on ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.
