A well-established food and beverage company in Florence is seeking a dependable Refrigeration Room Worker to join its cold storage team. This role is essential for managing and organizing perishable products in refrigerated environments to maintain product quality and safety.
The Refrigeration Room Worker will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and storing food products in refrigeration rooms, ensuring proper temperature control and stock rotation according to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles. The role includes inspecting products for quality, packaging integrity, and expiry dates before storage or dispatch.
This position requires maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the refrigeration areas, performing routine checks on refrigeration equipment, and reporting any irregularities to supervisors. The worker will collaborate closely with warehouse, production, and quality control teams to support smooth operations.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in cold storage or warehouse work, with the ability to work effectively in low-temperature conditions. Physical stamina is required for lifting, moving, and organizing products, often involving repetitive tasks.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work efficiently in low-temperature environments for extended periods. Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy items (up to 25 kg), standing, and performing repetitive tasks.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of cold storage procedures, inventory management, and stock rotation practices such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out). Ability to conduct quality inspections for product integrity and expiration dates.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and accurate record-keeping in refrigeration rooms. Ability to monitor refrigeration equipment and report any malfunctions or irregularities.
Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP, ensuring hygiene and safety within cold storage areas.
Language: Proficiency in Italian to understand instructions, safety protocols, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
