Job Description: Summary: The Welder and Solderer position in Paris, France, offers an exciting opportunity for professionals in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry. As a Welder and Solderer, your primary responsibility will be to perform welding and soldering tasks to construct, repair, and maintain ship structures and machinery. You will work with a variety of materials and techniques to ensure the integrity and quality of shipbuilding and ship machinery projects. Key Responsibilities: Welding and Soldering: Perform various welding and soldering techniques, such as arc welding, gas welding, and brazing, to join metal components and parts. Follow welding procedures and safety guidelines to ensure proper bonding, structural integrity, and adherence to industry standards. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine welding and soldering requirements. Understand welding symbols, dimensions, and tolerances. Translate specifications into practical welding and soldering techniques and processes. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding and soldering, including cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal components. Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, such as welding machines, torches, and electrodes. Ensure proper material alignment and fit-up for welding or soldering operations. Weld Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect welded and soldered joints for defects, such as cracks, distortions, or insufficient penetration. Use inspection tools and techniques, including visual inspections, non-destructive testing, and measurements, to ensure weld quality and conformity to specifications. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and standards throughout the welding and soldering process. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment. Comply with applicable regulations and industry standards for welding and soldering activities. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with shipbuilding teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks, share information, and address any welding-related challenges or issues. Seek clarification and provide feedback as necessary. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of welding machines, electrodes, and other related equipment. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or repair needs to ensure proper functionality and safety.

Job Requirement: Qualifications and Skills: Vocational training, certification, or apprenticeship in welding or a related field. Proven experience as a Welder and Solderer, preferably in the shipbuilding industry. Proficiency in various welding techniques, such as arc welding, gas welding, and brazing. Knowledge of different types of welding equipment, tools, and materials used in shipbuilding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications. Strong attention to detail and precision in welding and soldering operations. Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures, including the use of PPE. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments. Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are advantageous.
