Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Power Distribution Engineer to join our transport infrastructure team in Hamburg. In this role, you will focus on the planning, implementation, and maintenance of power distribution systems essential to transport networks, logistics hubs, and related facilities.

Your responsibilities will include designing electrical distribution layouts, managing substations and switchgear, and ensuring stable power supply to transport systems such as rail lines, electric vehicle charging stations, and automated warehouses. You will coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet safety, efficiency, and compliance standards.

This position demands a high level of technical expertise in managing medium and low-voltage networks, conducting system load analysis, and troubleshooting faults. You will be responsible for optimizing energy usage and ensuring minimal disruptions across transport-dependent operations.

This is a pivotal role for professionals who are passionate about power systems and want to contribute to the future of smart and sustainable transportation infrastructure.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in power distribution, preferably within the transport or logistics sector, is essential.

You must be well-versed in grid systems, substation equipment, protective relays, and SCADA control systems. Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP or AutoCAD Electrical is required. A strong understanding of German and international electrical codes and safety regulations is expected.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-sensitive projects. Effective communication skills are critical, as you'll be interfacing with cross-disciplinary teams and external partners.

German language proficiency is preferred, and fluency in English is required. Willingness to travel to project sites and perform inspections under varying conditions is also necessary. A focus on safety, sustainability, and system efficiency will define your success in this role.
