Job Description:
The Windshield and Glass Installation Technician in Frankfurt am Main is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass components including windshields, rear windows, door glass, and sunroofs. This role involves removing damaged glass, preparing surfaces, applying adhesives or sealants, and fitting new glass in accordance with vehicle specifications and safety standards. Technicians must ensure water-tight seals and clear visibility while minimizing damage to surrounding trim and paint.
Work is performed using specialized tools such as glass suction cups, cutting wires, and adhesive guns. Technicians are also expected to calibrate advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) when required, especially after windshield replacement. Maintaining a clean work environment and following proper disposal methods for glass waste are essential parts of the role.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have completed technical training in automotive repair or glass installation, with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience. Familiarity with various vehicle makes and models, glass handling tools, and bonding procedures is essential. Experience in ADAS calibration is a strong advantage.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, physically fit, and capable of lifting and positioning large panes of glass safely. A good understanding of vehicle safety systems, adhesive curing times, and weatherproofing standards is crucial. Basic German proficiency and the ability to follow technical documentation are also expected.
