We are seeking an innovative and analytical Agricultural Systems Engineer to join our agricultural development team in Chania. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing agricultural systems and technologies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and productivity across farming operations.
The Agricultural Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing solutions related to irrigation systems, soil and water management, mechanization, greenhouse automation, and precision agriculture. Key duties include evaluating existing systems, conducting technical field assessments, creating system designs, and coordinating the installation and maintenance of agricultural infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will work closely with farm managers, technicians, and researchers to integrate modern technologies such as sensors, GPS mapping, and data analysis tools into farming practices. The engineer will also be involved in training farm staff on new technologies, monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
