As a Policy Compliance Officer based in Athens, you will operate within Greece’s Finance, Banking & Insurance ecosystem. Athens—Greece’s financial hub and home to the Hellenic Exchanges and headquarters of major banks—offers access to the Bank of Greece, HCMC, and policy makers under the SSM and ECB. You will translate business objectives into clear financial outcomes while protecting customers and the franchise. Your remit interacts with MiFID II, Basel III/IV, Solvency II, IFRS 9/17, ESMA and EBA guidance, Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) rules, Bank of Greece supervision, SSM expectations, GDPR, AMLD, and Greek tax codes, reflecting EU and Greek expectations. The position strengthens the three‑lines‑of‑defense model, clarifying roles between business, risk oversight, and audit. You will calibrate appetite statements, early‑warning indicators, and challenge front‑line decisions where necessary.
