Job Description: Summary: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to join our team in Budapest, Hungary. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events within the hospitality and tourism industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in event management within the hospitality and tourism industry. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning: Plan and organize all aspects of events, including conferences, weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings. Develop event concepts, budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure successful execution. Vendor Management: Source and manage relationships with event vendors, such as venues, caterers, decorators, audiovisual providers, and entertainment services. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and goals. Provide professional advice, make recommendations, and tailor event concepts to meet their expectations and budget. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage event budgets, including cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and expense tracking. Monitor financial performance, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure profitability. Team Coordination: Coordinate and manage event teams, including staff, contractors, and volunteers. Assign roles and responsibilities, provide guidance and support, and ensure effective communication and collaboration. Event Promotion and Marketing: Develop event marketing strategies and implement promotional campaigns to attract attendees and sponsors. Utilize various marketing channels, such as social media, email marketing, and print materials, to generate awareness and drive participation. On-Site Event Management: Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown. Ensure smooth operations, handle any issues or emergencies, and provide exceptional customer service to attendees, clients, and stakeholders. Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of events and identify areas for improvement. Collect feedback from clients, attendees, and stakeholders to refine future event planning and execution.
Job Requirement: Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are advantageous. Proven experience in event management, preferably in the hospitality and tourism industry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple events simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client consultation and team coordination. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to deliver unique and memorable events. Budgeting and financial management skills to ensure profitable event operations. Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
