Job Description: Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team in Budapest, Hungary. As a Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, customer service, and quality control of the food and beverage department. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Manage and supervise the daily operations of the food and beverage department, including restaurants, bars, catering services, and room service. Ensure smooth service delivery, efficient workflows, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and addressing customer feedback and concerns. Train and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences and uphold the brand's reputation. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage the food and beverage team, including supervisors, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Schedule shifts, assign duties, and provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching. Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to create innovative and appealing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements. Monitor food trends, update menus periodically, and ensure effective cost management. Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor and control food and beverage inventory levels, implement efficient purchasing strategies, and minimize waste. Analyze costs, profitability, and revenue streams to maximize financial performance. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling procedures, and sanitation standards. Conduct regular inspections and training to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality food and beverage products. Negotiate contracts, manage pricing, and evaluate supplier performance. Financial Management: Prepare and manage the food and beverage department budget, including revenue forecasting, cost control, and profit optimization. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
Job Requirement: Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are advantageous. Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and industry trends. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team management and customer interaction. Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and cost control.
