We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Airline Flight Dispatch Manager to lead flight dispatch operations for airline partners at Florence Airport. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant planning and monitoring of all flight movements, in coordination with air traffic control, ground operations, and regulatory bodies.
Key responsibilities include supervising flight dispatchers, overseeing flight planning, reviewing weather conditions, fuel requirements, route structures, NOTAMs, and airport restrictions. The manager will ensure timely issuance of dispatch releases and flight briefings, adapting plans quickly in response to operational disruptions such as adverse weather or airspace restrictions.
The role also involves ensuring adherence to ENAC, EASA, and ICAO regulations, maintaining up-to-date dispatch documentation, conducting operational audits, and coordinating with airline operations control centers. The manager will also play a key role in staff training, performance evaluation, and process improvement to maintain dispatch excellence.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of flight operations and dispatch systems, and a proactive approach to managing high-pressure situations. This position is vital to upholding safety, punctuality, and operational reliability for all flight operations managed from Florence Airport.

Candidates for the Airline Flight Dispatch Manager role must hold a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Air Traffic Services, or a related discipline. A valid Flight Dispatcher License issued under EASA or ICAO standards is required. A master’s degree or additional certifications in airline operations or safety management is a plus.
Applicants should have at least 5–7 years of progressive experience in flight dispatch operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within a commercial airline or airport environment. In-depth knowledge of flight planning, route optimization, aircraft performance, weather systems, and regulatory compliance is essential.
Proficiency with flight dispatch and tracking software, meteorological platforms, and NOTAM systems is expected. Experience working with ENAC, EASA, and ICAO standards, as well as familiarity with safety and emergency procedures, is critical.
Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory. Candidates must possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make fast, accurate decisions under pressure. A flexible, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach is necessary to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective flight operations across Florence Airport’s network.
