We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Animal Nutrition Assistant to support our agricultural and livestock development initiatives. The role involves assisting senior nutritionists in the formulation, evaluation, and monitoring of balanced diets for various livestock species to promote optimal health and productivity. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing feed and animal samples, maintaining accurate records of feed trials, and supporting research projects related to animal growth and nutrition efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with veterinarians, farm managers, and other agricultural professionals to implement nutrition programs that align with national food security goals. Responsibilities also include monitoring feed inventory, assisting in the preparation of nutritional reports, and ensuring compliance with local health and safety standards.
Ideal candidates should have a diploma or bachelor's degree in animal science, agriculture, or a related field, with foundational knowledge of animal physiology and feed formulation. Practical experience in livestock handling and familiarity with laboratory testing techniques is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and data entry skills are essential.
