Job Description: Water Treatment Plant Operator – Agriculture & Fisheries Industry, Oman
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team in the Agriculture & Fisheries sector in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of water treatment systems to ensure a safe and reliable water supply for agricultural and aquaculture activities. Duties include testing and analyzing water samples, adjusting chemical dosages, operating treatment equipment, and maintaining accurate records of plant operations.
The operator will troubleshoot system issues, perform routine inspections, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Coordination with maintenance teams to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and control systems is also required. A key part of the role involves optimizing water quality to support sustainable agricultural production.
Candidates should possess a diploma or technical certification in water treatment, environmental science, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of water quality standards and treatment technologies is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and committed to supporting the water needs of Oman’s growing agricultural and fisheries industries.
