Job Description:
The Aeronautical Design Engineer in Al Shamal is responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of aircraft components and systems tailored to Qatar’s growing aerospace sector. This role focuses on optimizing aerodynamic performance, structural integrity, and fuel efficiency in both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Key responsibilities include developing airframe designs, conducting computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, and creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software. The engineer works closely with materials specialists, propulsion engineers, and testing teams to ensure each design meets stringent safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
The Aeronautical Design Engineer also supports wind tunnel testing, structural stress analysis, weight reduction strategies, and compliance verification with aviation standards (e.g., EASA, ICAO). In addition, the engineer participates in design reviews, prototype development, and integration of innovative technologies like composite materials or hybrid propulsion systems.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years in aircraft design or aerospace component development.
Skills:
Proficiency in CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX for aerospace design.
Strong grasp of aerodynamics, structural mechanics, and flight physics.
Experience with CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM).
Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and materials.
Language: Fluency in English; Arabic is beneficial.
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with global aviation standards and design certifications.
Attention to precision and compliance in engineering documentation.
Collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary design environments.
Passion for advancing aerospace innovation in Qatar.
