Job Description:
The Order Picker in Umm Salal is responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer or client orders. Operating under the direction of a warehouse supervisor, the picker follows pick lists or digital picking systems to locate, scan, and collect products for packaging or shipment. The role requires handling various goods, ensuring item accuracy, quality checking, and placing selected items in designated bins or trolleys.
The position involves navigating warehouse zones efficiently, lifting and moving products safely, and updating inventory systems through barcode scanning. The Order Picker is expected to prioritize order fulfillment timelines, reduce picking errors, and maintain clean and organized picking areas. In addition, the role may involve collaborating with packers, inventory controllers, and shipping personnel to ensure end-to-end order processing efficiency.
This job demands speed, precision, and a strong sense of responsibility, especially in fast-paced, high-volume warehousing environments.
Job Requirement:
Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1–2 years in warehouse picking or fulfillment roles preferred.
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret picking lists and warehouse maps.
Familiarity with barcode scanners or warehouse management software.
Basic math skills for counting and verifying stock quantities.
Physical strength and stamina to walk and lift throughout the shift.
Attention to detail to avoid picking errors.
Language: Basic English or Arabic for understanding instructions and labels.
