Job Description:
The Pipe Insulation Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining insulation materials on pipelines and equipment in Lusail’s oil and gas facilities. This role helps to control temperature fluctuations, prevent energy loss, and protect pipes from corrosion and damage.
Key duties include measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, or mineral wool. The technician inspects existing insulation for wear and tear, performs repairs or replacements, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaboration with maintenance teams and adherence to health and safety regulations are critical for effective performance.
This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and physical stamina to work in varied environments, including outdoor sites and confined spaces. The Pipe Insulation Technician contributes to the efficiency and safety of Qatar’s oil infrastructure.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or technical certification in insulation, mechanical maintenance, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in pipe insulation or industrial maintenance.
Skills:
Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with safety protocols and personal protective equipment.
Physical fitness to handle manual labor and work in diverse environments.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work shifts and in outdoor conditions.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Knowledge of Qatar’s occupational health and safety standards is a plus.
Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
