Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Bioprocess Engineer to join our biotechnology team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling up bioprocesses to support the production of high-quality biological products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement upstream and downstream bioprocesses, including fermentation and purification.
Develop and optimize cell culture, microbial fermentation, and recovery processes to improve yield and product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to ensure seamless process integration and compliance.
Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure process efficiency and consistency.
Prepare detailed technical documentation, process descriptions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support technology transfer and scale-up activities from lab to pilot and commercial manufacturing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in bioprocess development or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of bioreactors, chromatography systems, and GMP compliance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in bioprocess development, scale-up, or manufacturing.
Proven track record working with cell culture systems, microbial fermentation, and downstream purification processes.
Familiarity with process development for biological products such as vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, or recombinant proteins is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with bioreactors, chromatography systems, and filtration technologies.
Solid understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality control standards in biopharmaceutical production.
Proficiency in process analytical technology (PAT) and statistical process control (SPC) tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes effectively.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, QA/QC, and regulatory affairs.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work in Riyadh, with occasional travel as needed.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
