Job Description: Summary: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Welders and Solderers to join our team in Seoul, South Korea. As a Welder and Solderer, you will play a vital role in the shipbuilding and ship machinery industry by performing welding and soldering tasks to fabricate and repair various components and structures. Your expertise in welding techniques, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will contribute to the successful completion of shipbuilding projects. Key Responsibilities: Welding and soldering: Perform various welding and soldering tasks, including TIG welding, MIG welding, arc welding, and brazing, to join metal components and structures according to engineering specifications and industry standards. Interpretation of blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to determine welding requirements and ensure accurate and precise work. Welding equipment setup: Set up and operate welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and related tools. Ensure proper equipment calibration and maintenance for optimal performance. Weld inspection and quality control: Inspect welded and soldered joints for quality, accuracy, and adherence to welding standards. Perform necessary repairs or adjustments as required to meet specifications. Safety and compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to welding procedures and industry regulations. Material preparation: Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting components as necessary to ensure proper alignment and joint integrity. Collaboration with team: Work closely with a team of welders, fabricators, and other professionals to complete shipbuilding projects within scheduled timelines. Documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate documentation and records of welding activities, including welding logs, inspection reports, and material usage. Welding technique improvement: Stay updated on welding techniques, industry advancements, and best practices. Continuously improve welding skills through training and professional development opportunities. Equipment maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of welding equipment and tools to ensure their optimal functioning and longevity.
Job Requirement: Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Certified welder with relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred. Proven experience as a Welder and Solderer in the shipbuilding or ship machinery industry. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications. Proficient in TIG welding, MIG welding, arc welding, and brazing. Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with a diverse team. Fluency in both written and spoken Korean is required.
