Job Description:
As a Financial Credit Reviewer in Bern, you will be responsible for independently evaluating and monitoring the credit quality of loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Your work will involve detailed reviews of credit files, borrower financials, and risk assessments to identify trends, red flags, or deviations from underwriting guidelines. Based in Bern, where regulatory institutions and federal authorities are located, you'll play a critical role in aligning credit practices with Swiss regulatory expectations and internal governance. You’ll collaborate with credit analysts, risk managers, and auditors to maintain the integrity of lending processes. You will also prepare audit-ready reports, recommend corrective actions, and support improvements to credit risk frameworks. This position requires strong analytical and documentation skills, professional skepticism, and a good understanding of both retail and commercial credit products.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking
3–5 years of experience in credit risk, internal audit, or financial review
Solid understanding of credit products, lending practices, and risk management
Familiarity with Swiss banking regulations and Basel standards
Proficient in financial analysis and credit review software
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and reporting skills
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking ability
Excellent verbal and written communication in English; German or French preferred
Ability to work independently and handle confidential data
Knowledge of credit scoring models and portfolio performance metrics
