Job Description:
The Marine Engineering Officer in Geneva plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the mechanical and electrical systems aboard logistics and cargo vessels operating in inland and international waters. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the ship’s engine, propulsion systems, power generation units, and auxiliary equipment. You will ensure all systems operate efficiently, troubleshoot any faults, and perform preventive maintenance to avoid delays. Your work is central to ensuring the vessel's compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. In Geneva, this role may also include supporting dockside maintenance and collaborating with logistics teams for supply chain operations involving marine transport. You will report directly to the Chief Engineer and may supervise engineering crew depending on the vessel type.
