Job Description:
The Veterinary Field Assistant in Konya works alongside veterinarians to provide on-site animal health services for livestock farms. Duties include preparing equipment, restraining animals for examination or treatment, assisting with vaccinations and minor surgeries, and administering medications under supervision.
Field assistants help collect samples (blood, feces, etc.), record treatment information, and provide guidance to farmers on health management, nutrition, and preventive care. They also transport supplies, maintain clean tools, and ensure that procedures follow sanitary and safety regulations.
This position requires compassion for animals, physical stamina, and the ability to work in varied field conditions, including emergencies.
Job Requirement:
Certificate or diploma in animal health, veterinary support, or livestock care.
Experience in animal handling and assisting veterinary procedures.
Familiarity with basic medical equipment and terminology.
Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain treatment records.
Strong communication skills for interacting with farmers and reporting to veterinarians.
Valid driving license for rural travel.
Physical strength for handling large animals and working long shifts.
