Qualifications:

We are hiring a Bioinformatics Scientist to join our genomics and data science team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computational biology, with hands-on experience in analyzing large-scale biological datasets and developing custom bioinformatics tools.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: PhD or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience: 2+ years (PhD) or 4+ years (Master’s) of relevant industry or academic experience in bioinformatics or data science.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python, R, or other scripting languages.
Experience with NGS data analysis, including RNA-Seq, WGS/WES, and single-cell data.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and workflow management tools (e.g., Snakemake, Nextflow).
Knowledge of genomic databases (e.g., Ensembl, NCBI, TCGA) and bioinformatics tools (e.g., GATK, STAR, Bowtie, DESeq2).
