Responsibilities: Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in buildings. Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and hazardous materials in accordance with local regulations and established procedures. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and replacing damaged fixtures, ensuring the proper functioning of facilities. Floor Care: Maintain and care for various types of flooring, including carpet, tile, and hardwood, by cleaning, waxing, and polishing as necessary. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure proper functioning of fixtures, such as toilets, sinks, and hand dryers. Safety Compliance: Identify and address safety hazards, such as slippery floors or broken equipment, promptly reporting any potential risks to the appropriate authorities. Inventory Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, equipment, and other janitorial materials, ensuring an adequate supply is available for daily operations. Security Measures: Maintain awareness of building security protocols and report any suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals to the appropriate personnel. Communication: Communicate effectively with building occupants, supervisors, and colleagues to address cleaning and maintenance needs, respond to inquiries, and report any issues or concerns. Adherence to Regulations: Comply with health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Job Requirement: Requirements: Previous experience as a Janitor or in a similar cleaning and maintenance role is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in commercial or residential settings. Attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks. Basic repair and maintenance skills to handle minor repairs and troubleshoot issues. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required. Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes. Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with building occupants and work effectively within a team. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning and maintenance activities. Fluency in German (spoken and written) is desirable, but not mandatory.
