Job Description: Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled Japanese to English Translator to join our team in Berlin, Germany. As a translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating written content from Japanese to English, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and maintaining the intended meaning and tone. Your strong language proficiency, cultural understanding, and attention to detail will play a key role in delivering high-quality translations. This position requires excellent language skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced translation environment. Responsibilities: Translation: Translate a variety of written materials from Japanese to English, including documents, articles, website content, marketing materials, and other texts, while maintaining accuracy and preserving the intended meaning and style. Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit translated texts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity, ensuring high-quality and error-free translations. Terminology Research: Conduct research to ensure the consistent and accurate use of specialized terminology, industry-specific jargon, and cultural nuances in translations. Cultural Adaptation: Adapt translations to suit the target audience and cultural context, taking into account cultural sensitivities, idiomatic expressions, and regional variations. Communication: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and fellow translators to clarify translation requirements, address queries, and ensure smooth project workflows. Quality Assurance: Follow established quality assurance processes to maintain consistency, accuracy, and adherence to client-specific guidelines and project requirements. Time Management: Meet project deadlines by efficiently managing translation assignments, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining a high level of productivity. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, language developments, and translation tools to enhance translation skills and professional growth. Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality and security of client information and sensitive materials throughout the translation process. Client Satisfaction: Strive for client satisfaction by delivering high-quality translations that meet or exceed their expectations.

Job Requirement: Requirements: Native-level proficiency in both Japanese and English languages. Proven experience as a professional translator, with a focus on Japanese to English translation. Excellent command of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary in both Japanese and English. Strong cultural understanding of both Japanese and English-speaking contexts to accurately convey meaning and nuances. Proficiency in translation tools and software, such as CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, translation memory systems, and terminology management tools. Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate translations within tight deadlines. Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, project managers, and fellow translators. Knowledge or experience in specialized fields, such as legal, technical, medical, or marketing, is advantageous. Fluency in German or any other additional language is a plus.
