Job Description:
An Apparel Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of apparel stock within a textile and apparel manufacturing or distribution environment in Florence. This role involves tracking incoming raw materials, finished garments, and accessories to ensure inventory accuracy and support production and sales activities.
The clerk will perform regular stock counts, update inventory databases, and reconcile physical stock with system records. They coordinate with warehouse, production, and quality control teams to monitor stock movement and resolve discrepancies.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing stock shortages or excesses. The role requires familiarity with inventory management software and the ability to generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and discrepancies.
The Apparel Inventory Clerk ensures that inventory procedures comply with company policies and supports efficient operations by facilitating timely availability of materials and finished products.
Responsibilities:

Technical Skills:
Proficient in using inventory management systems and software (e.g., ERP tools, Excel) to track and update stock data accurately
Ability to perform physical stock counts and reconcile with digital records
Familiarity with basic warehousing procedures and stock handling practices
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical Skills:
Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate causes effectively
Capable of preparing clear and concise inventory reports for management
Communication Skills:
Good command of Italian for clear communication with warehouse, production, and management teams
