Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Aviation Standards Specialist to ensure compliance with aviation safety, operational, and quality standards at Florence Airport. This role is responsible for monitoring adherence to national and international regulations, supporting certification processes, and assisting in the continuous improvement of airport systems and procedures.

Key responsibilities include conducting internal audits, analyzing performance against established standards, and developing documentation aligned with ENAC, ICAO, EASA, and EU regulatory frameworks. The specialist will collaborate with airport departments, service providers, and safety managers to implement corrective actions, streamline compliance reporting, and maintain certifications related to operations, environment, and quality management (ISO, SMS, etc.).

The position also involves participation in safety meetings, regulatory updates, and the development of training materials to ensure awareness and alignment across all functional areas. The specialist serves as a key liaison with regulatory authorities during inspections and compliance reviews.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of aviation operational standards, and a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the operational excellence, regulatory integrity, and international standing of Florence’s airport facilities.

Candidates for the Aviation Standards Specialist role must hold a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications in ISO standards, Safety Management Systems (SMS), or EASA/ICAO compliance is highly advantageous.

A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in aviation standards, regulatory compliance, or airport operations is required. Applicants must possess in-depth knowledge of ENAC, EASA, ICAO, and EU aviation regulatory frameworks. Experience with internal audits, risk assessments, and quality control systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is essential.

Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and implement corrective measures. Familiarity with auditing tools, document control software, and compliance reporting systems is expected. Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory.
