Job Description:

The Facilities Repair Technician in Dunedin is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment and infrastructure within commercial and institutional buildings. This includes addressing a wide range of issues such as electrical faults, plumbing problems, HVAC malfunctions, and structural damage. The technician performs both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, often working closely with facilities managers and external contractors to ensure all systems function efficiently and safely. Key duties include inspecting systems, replacing faulty components, conducting safety checks, and keeping detailed service records. This position demands hands-on experience with tools and repair techniques across multiple trades. Facilities Repair Technicians must ensure all work is compliant with safety standards and building codes. The role requires physical endurance, as tasks may involve lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces. Time management and prioritization skills are crucial, particularly when attending to multiple maintenance requests or urgent repairs. The technician is also responsible for maintaining an inventory of repair supplies and may assist in planning renovation or upgrade projects. Job Requirement:

Candidates should hold a technical certification or diploma in building maintenance, engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in multi-trade maintenance or facility repairs is required. Key skills include proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs, understanding of safety regulations, and competency in using diagnostic and repair tools.
