Job Description:
The Product Conveyor Technician oversees the operation and maintenance of conveyor systems used to transport goods in production and packaging facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring belt speed and alignment, identifying jams or misfeeds, and performing basic mechanical repairs such as belt replacement, lubrication, and tension adjustment. The technician ensures smooth product flow to prevent line delays and collaborates with maintenance staff during breakdowns.
Other duties involve calibrating sensors, cleaning conveyors to remove buildup, and inspecting safety guards and mechanical linkages. The technician may also assist with line startups and shutdowns and help train staff on conveyor system protocols. This role is essential in high-throughput facilities where consistent material flow is key to operational efficiency. Attention to mechanical detail, fast response time, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
Job Requirement:
Education: Certificate or diploma in mechanical maintenance or industrial systems.
Experience: 2–3 years in conveyor operation, production maintenance, or industrial automation.
Skills: Mechanical troubleshooting, conveyor calibration, equipment cleaning and upkeep.
Other Requirements: Comfortable working around moving machinery; PPE and safety compliance required.
