Job Description: As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, foundations, and other structures using bricks, stones, and concrete blocks. Your work will involve reading and interpreting blueprints, mixing mortar, and ensuring that structures are built to specification and comply with safety regulations. You will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Job Requirement: Essential Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Bricklayer or similar role. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Bricklaying or a related field. Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Good manual dexterity and physical stamina. Excellent attention to detail and precision in work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card. Desirable Qualifications and Skills: Experience with different types of masonry, such as stone or blockwork. Additional certifications or training in related areas (e.g., scaffolding). Previous experience in a similar role within a specific industry (e.g., residential, commercial).
