Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Art Therapist to join our team in North York. As an Art Therapist in the creative Arts & Design industry, your role will involve using art as a therapeutic tool to help clients express their emotions, improve their mental well-being, and promote personal growth. Responsibilities: Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions, tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Assess clients' emotional and psychological needs, and develop personalized treatment plans. Guide clients in exploring and expressing their feelings through various art mediums and techniques. Utilize art therapy interventions to facilitate personal insight, self-discovery, and emotional healing. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment reports. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for clients. Stay updated with current research and developments in the field of art therapy. Requirements: Master's degree in Art Therapy or a related field. Professional certification or registration as an Art Therapist. Proven experience working as an Art Therapist in a clinical or therapeutic setting. Strong understanding of psychology and counseling principles. Knowledge of various art therapy techniques and interventions. Excellent communication and active listening skills. Empathy, compassion, and the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
