Job Description:
The Capacity Building Specialist Director in Paris will be a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the nonprofit organization’s capacity-building strategy at a regional or organizational level. This senior role is focused on strengthening the internal structures, processes, and skills within the nonprofit sector to ensure that it can sustainably achieve its mission and objectives. The director will manage and oversee the development of capacity-building initiatives, including training programs, resource allocation, and strategic partnerships.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the development of comprehensive capacity-building programs that enhance the organization’s ability to deliver impactful and sustainable programs. This includes overseeing the assessment of organizational needs, designing training materials, and developing a long-term plan for building staff and organizational capabilities. The director will work closely with the executive leadership team and department heads to align capacity-building efforts with the organization’s overall strategic goals.
A significant aspect of the role will involve mentoring and coaching key staff members and leadership to enhance their skills and prepare them for greater responsibilities within the organization. The director will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives by setting clear performance metrics and regularly assessing the progress of both the staff and the organization’s overall capacity development.
