The Buyout Specialist based in Florence is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing buyout investment opportunities within the Finance, Banking & Insurance sector. This role focuses on acquiring controlling stakes in companies, often through leveraged buyouts, to drive value creation and strategic growth.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive financial analysis, performing due diligence, and developing detailed investment theses. The specialist collaborates with deal teams to structure transactions, negotiate terms, and manage the acquisition process from inception to closing. Post-acquisition, the role involves monitoring portfolio company performance, supporting operational improvements, and preparing regular reports for investors and senior management.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment is essential. The Buyout Specialist must stay current with market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting buyout opportunities. Effective communication skills are required to present findings and recommendations to investment committees and stakeholders.

Job Requirement:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field; an advanced degree such as an MBA or professional certifications like CFA or CAIA are highly preferred. A minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or buyout transactions within the finance, banking, or insurance sectors is required.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques (including leveraged buyouts), due diligence, and deal structuring is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software. A deep understanding of accounting principles, corporate finance, and capital markets is necessary.
Analytical and problem-solving skills are critical to assess investment opportunities, identify risks, and structure deals that maximize returns. Experience in negotiating transaction terms and managing acquisition processes is highly valued.
Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English are necessary to prepare investment memoranda, present findings to senior management and investment committees, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
