Job Description: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Welders and Solderers to join our team in Rome, Italy. As a Welder and Solderer, you will play a critical role in shipbuilding and ship machinery operations. Your expertise in welding and soldering techniques, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards will contribute to the successful construction and maintenance of ships and ship machinery. Key Responsibilities: Welding and Soldering: Perform various welding and soldering tasks, including joining metal components, fabricating structures, and repairing ship machinery parts. Use different welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and ARC, to achieve high-quality and durable welds. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the welding and soldering requirements. Ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and calibrate welding equipment, including welding machines, gas cylinders, and other necessary tools. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment functionality and safety. Weld Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) on welded joints to assess their quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Identify and correct any defects or imperfections in the welds. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper ventilation, and safe handling of materials. Comply with welding codes, regulations, and quality standards to ensure safe working conditions and high-quality workmanship. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding and soldering processes, including cleaning, grinding, and shaping metal surfaces. Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of components prior to welding. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other team members, including engineers, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Communicate effectively to understand project requirements and provide status updates. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including weld logs, inspection reports, and material usage. Provide documentation and reports as required for project documentation and quality assurance purposes. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest welding techniques, technologies, and industry best practices. Seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of tools, equipment, and materials. Follow good housekeeping practices to promote a safe and productive work environment.

Job Requirement: Qualifications and Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certifications in welding or soldering are preferred. Proven experience as a Welder and Solderer, preferably in shipbuilding or a related industry. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment. Proficiency in various welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with welding codes, regulations, and safety standards. Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality welds with precision. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and ship machinery is advantageous. Fluency in Italian is required, and proficiency in English is a plus.
