An Automobile Exhaust System Installer in Al Ahmadi is responsible for installing, maintaining, and replacing exhaust systems in various vehicles, ensuring they meet emission regulations and performance standards. This includes mufflers, catalytic converters, resonators, oxygen sensors, and connecting pipes.
The technician begins by inspecting the existing exhaust components for rust, damage, or inefficiency. Using lifts and welding equipment, they remove old parts and accurately install new components while ensuring tight, leak-free connections. Proper alignment and clearance are verified to prevent vibration and contact with other undercarriage parts. They may also upgrade systems to performance exhausts or install aftermarket components upon customer request.
Knowledge of local emission regulations, safety protocols, and use of diagnostic tools like exhaust gas analyzers is essential. Precision in measurements and experience in welding or using clamps are key to success in this role.
