Job Description:
The Building Inspector Officer in Al Ahmadi is responsible for conducting site inspections to ensure construction projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the integrity and legality of construction and renovation work.
Key duties include inspecting structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC installations; issuing inspection reports and notices of violation; advising contractors on corrective measures; and maintaining detailed records of inspection outcomes. The officer may also participate in plan review meetings and coordinate with fire, health, and code enforcement departments.
Job Requirement:
A diploma or degree in construction technology, civil engineering, or building inspection is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in building inspections or construction supervision is required. Certification as a building inspector is advantageous. Candidates must be well-versed in local construction codes, have excellent attention to detail, and possess strong communication and reporting skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance is critical.
