We are hiring a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Apiary Genetics Technician to support our advanced beekeeping programs in Makkah, Saudi Arabia under the Agriculture & Fisheries sector. In this role, you will work on enhancing bee genetics through controlled breeding, genetic monitoring, and colony selection to improve productivity, resistance, and adaptability.
Key duties include collecting genetic samples, conducting hive inspections, evaluating colony traits, maintaining breeding records, and supporting artificial insemination or grafting processes. You will also collaborate with other technicians and beekeepers to implement breeding strategies and manage queen production.
This position requires a solid understanding of bee genetics, breeding techniques, and apiary management. Candidates should be methodical, scientifically inclined, and comfortable working in outdoor environments with bee colonies.
