We are looking for a skilled and motivated Dairy Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of a modern dairy farm in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing herd health, milk production, farm staff, and all aspects of dairy operations to ensure efficient, high-quality, and sustainable output.
Key responsibilities include supervising milking routines, managing feeding programs, monitoring animal health and welfare, coordinating veterinary care, and maintaining strict hygiene and biosecurity standards. The Dairy Farm Manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with UK farming regulations, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
The role requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage resources effectively. Experience with herd management software, pasture planning, and automated milking systems is advantageous.
Applicants should be capable of working flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, and be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in agriculture, animal science, or related field
Proven experience managing dairy operations
Strong knowledge of UK animal welfare and environmental standards
Full UK driving licence required
