Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Claims Administration Assistant to support our claims department in Hamburg. In this role, you will play a key part in facilitating smooth claims handling by providing administrative and clerical support to claims processors and adjusters. Your responsibilities will include organizing claim files, inputting data into the claims management system, and preparing routine correspondence and reports.

The role also involves managing incoming mail, scanning and indexing documents, scheduling follow-ups, and answering customer inquiries related to claim status. You will help ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with company procedures and legal regulations. The assistant will liaise regularly with clients, brokers, and internal departments to resolve minor issues and escalate more complex matters to appropriate staff.

Job Requirement:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with claims management or CRM systems is required. The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and precision is essential. You must be fluent in German and possess good written and spoken communication skills. Knowledge of English or additional languages will be considered a plus.

Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and time management are critical. You must be capable of handling repetitive tasks with consistency while also adapting to shifting priorities. A helpful, team-oriented attitude is important, along with the ability to work independently under supervision.

You should demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a customer-first mindset. Experience handling claim documentation or working with adjusters will strengthen your application. Basic knowledge of insurance terminology and processes is an advantage.
