Job Description:
We are hiring a professional and courteous Footman Attendant to support a high-end private residence in Hamburg. The Footman Attendant will be responsible for assisting with formal household service, including opening doors, serving meals, preparing dining areas, setting up for events, and offering general support to household members and guests. This role requires a polished appearance, excellent etiquette, and attention to detail to maintain the home's standard of excellence.
In addition to traditional footman duties, the role includes assisting with wardrobe care, greeting and escorting guests, helping with luggage, and maintaining the overall presentation of the home’s interiors and exteriors. The ideal candidate must be able to work discreetly in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure and with changing schedules. This is a hands-on service role suited for someone who values precision, formality, and respectful conduct. Close coordination with other household staff is expected to ensure seamless daily operations and guest satisfaction.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should have prior experience in a formal household, hotel, or luxury hospitality setting. A background in front-of-house service, valeting, or butler duties is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of table setting etiquette, serving protocol, and personal service is essential. Candidates must present themselves with immaculate grooming and wear a uniform when required.
Excellent interpersonal skills, fluency in English or German, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are vital. Physical fitness and the ability to stand or move for extended periods are necessary. Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism are non-negotiable traits. Training in silver service, wine handling, or event support will be considered an advantage. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during special events is expected.
